The Souk/Souq is a the traditional Moroccan market, where you will get to admire local crafts, immerse in local life, purchase interesting souvenirs, and fully appreciate the exotic atmosphere of Fes the old city. During your Tour in the colorful Souk would, For making a Turkey with cinnamom with peas and almonds , you would be able to pick your own vegetables, fresh meat and fragrant Moroccan spices (Cumin, Peper, Paprika, Ras El-Hanout, Fenugreek, Sesame Seeds, Cinnamon, Saffron, Ginger, Turmeric…), to make a perfect typical Moroccan dish. After that, we will take our fresh ingredient to a traditional Moroccan House, where you will be welcomed by a native Moroccan chef with Mme Fatema el Majdoubi, and have a cup of Moroccan mint tea and some tempting pastries, while discussing the ingredients and techniques of your dishes. Next, you will be cooking a full Moroccan meal composed of the most delicious Salads (Zaalouk, Taktouka, Salad of chopped vegetables, Bakoula..), a main dish, which is mostly a hot Tagine with chicken or meat with vegetables and olives, Moroccan Couscous with seven vegetables, Moroccan Soup “Harira”, or a crispy Pastilla with a perfect combination of both salt and sweet. You will be also introduced to the traditional way of making Moroccan bread “Khubz”, and then take it to a public oven to be perfectly cooked with a stunning golden colour. Your personal chef will provide you with the secrets and techniques of Moroccan cooking as the way to make your own exotic combination of fragrant spices. When you finish your incredible Moroccan dishes, you will gather around a typical Moroccan rounded table to enjoy your irresistible Moroccan Masterpiece. This opportunity is a delightful participation not only to learn to cook but also an opportunity to discover the secrets of some of the best Moroccan cuisine recipes in a professional but also genuinely relaxed atmosphere. You will be picked up from your hotel or riad by your private guide, and taken to discuss your meal options – you could cook some kind of tagine, or a dish based on couscous, prepare a Moroccan salad, or bake bread (“harcha”) or pastries. Everything under cheif the guidance of your master chef. The choice is yours! Next, head to the local market with your guide to buy all the necessary ingredients. You will get to visit the souk to buy all the ingredients, preparing the bread, salad, food and dessert, baking at a 400 years old local communal public oven (furan) and enjoy the meal together in true Moroccan style. Back at the house, at first you will learn about your ingredients, traditional Moroccan dishes and their preparation. And finally, you will start cooking with the help of the friendly chef.
